FAMILIA LEE

Dear Fam,     How is everyone doing? I don't have much time today to write, so I have to make this quick. Seems like everyone is doing great...like you guys haven't stopped vacationing. That is awesome Becca!...taking 2nd in state. Sounds like that was really exciting. Wish I could have been there to see it. Becca, you sound just like me in your letters...So competitive. My Companion and I had a conversation on competitiveness and pride this last week...we were looking at talks and quotes on pride. It was quite interesting. I think sports teaches some of life's greatest lessons. Well today, all day, we went to visit two of my Companion's old areas. We visited his old members and converts. It was really fun...as Elder Khan talked with the members and converts about old times, I talked, played, and took pictures with little kids. Well, this week has been good. One 17-year-old-kid we were going to baptize this past Saturday let us down. And none of our investigators came...

GREAT WEEK IN THE MISSION

Dear Family, How is everyone doing back home?  Sounds like everyone is having a great time and doing well...Going fishing (27 fish Wow!), Andrea pregnant, David and the kids coming for the funeral, Becca preparing for track state, etc. So Chris is going to have his first Goonie. Congratulations! Hopefully, it's a nice strong boy. So, how are you doing with your arthritis, Mom? I hope you are getting better. I am praying for you every night. It was really great talking to you guys on the phone. Everything still sounds nice and busy at the Lee home. Well, this last week we have had a great week. We had a Zone Conference where I conducted. That was fun. We also had a Multi-Zone Conference with four zones in the mission at the conference, and we had a General Authority, President/Elder Shumway came and talked to us. It was really great, except for the fact that he put me on the spot in front of everyone. He was talking about sacrifices we made before the mission. He asked us to think...

Dear Family, How's everyone doing? I am doing great here in my new area. The members are so great here. We are a really big ward. This past Sunday, we had about 130 in Church. There are four missionaries that attend our ward. My Companion and I are doing awesome. He is a really great missionary. We get along really well. Did I tell you he served in Belize for 8 months? This week has been pretty awesome. We have taught more lessons this week than my Comp and his Comp taught in their whole last 2 changes. But we're still going to get better. We are hoping to marry a family here pretty soon, so we can baptize the husband. His wife is a member and she just had a baby. Oh, and you asked about my new house. Let's just say it’s a little humble house. We have everything we need to get by. We usually have running water, and always have a place to shower and somewhere to sleep at night, so it's not too bad. Last week, I didn’t send you guys a written letter, but I was planning ...

Dear Fam, How's everyone doing? I don't have much time today so I am going to make this quick. I didn't email last week because I got changed. I am now in Villas Del Rio. Its about 15 minutes from Villanueva and about 40 minutes from my old area. That's on a bus, but in a car it's a lot faster. But I wouldn't know anything about cars. Well I officially have my first Gringo companion. He's not exactly Gringo though...his Dad is from Pakistan and his Mom was born in Japan on a military base, but she is an American. He served the first 6 months of his mission in Tela, then 6 months in the office, and then he went to Belize for about 8 months. He is now back in Honduras, and has this change left before he goes home. Did I ever tell you guys Belize got taken out of our mission? It is now part of El Salvador West. But that kind of stunk, cuz I was hoping to serve there. All the Elders that have ever served there, always have great stories to tell. Oh yeah, my C...
