Dearest Fam, How is everyone doing? Sounds like everyone is busy. Well I mean it doesn’t sound, but by the looks of my mailbox, it  looks  like everyone is busy. This week was also a busy week for us. We married another family this week. The Familia Enamorado. We were going to baptize the family Sunday, but the husband, Carlos, smoked on Saturday, before his wedding. The other three (the mom and 2 kids) were ready, and still are ready to get baptized, but didn’t get baptized on Sunday, because we are going to wait a week to baptize the whole family together on Saturday. Please pray for Carlos...he could use your prayers. He committed to stop smoking Saturday after his interview. Sunday, he was having a hard time in Church cuz he hadn’t smoked since Saturday afternoon. He grew up in Los Angeles, California and has smoked since he was 11. He really has a desire to get baptized, and is giving it his all right now. He has changed so much in these past four weeks...it has been am...

AN AWESOME WEEK!

Dear Family, I feel great and am having more fun each and every day. This past week was awesome and full of all kinds of great experiences, another wedding, and a baptism. We married and baptized a sister named, Maria Argentina Bautista. She is now married to a man that is a member, named Jesus Castillano. He has been inactive for a while, but we got him back to Church with the help of the Lord. He is a lot more excited about the Gospel now than ever before. Just in these past couple of weeks, I have seen a change in him. I was kind of sad this past Saturday, because I missed the wedding and the baptism. Saturday, we had divisions, and I was planning on baptizing her Sunday morning. But as things worked out, my companion took them and had them married at the Stake Center in San Antonio, and after the wedding, they had her baptism. So now, I don’t have any pictures, and nobody took a picture.  But I do have a picture of the couple at Church on Sunday before her confirmation. ...

A LETTER FOR MY MISSIONARY FRIENDS BACK HOME

Dear Elders, Friends, and Goonies, Honduras life is awesome! Washing my clothes on rocks, sitting on dirt floors,  teaching the Gospel, and eating tortillas with beans, eggs, and rice every day. These past nine months have been awesome. The Lord has really humbled, blessed, and taught me a lot of things in a little under a year. I love the people of Honduras. I have had three ares, five Comps, and a whole lot of wonderful experiences. I feel like I am leaving my family again, every time I leave each area and companion. I started off on the Beach in Tela, then was moved out into the boonies (Los Morelos) to open up that area, and now I am here in Vista Hermosa with my greenie comp, with 3 months in the mission, from Guatemala. The Lord has blessed me with five awesome companions, four from Guatemala, and one from California. Every day I learn and see something new. I can't imagine serving anywhere else other than in Honduras. I feel like I have found (and am still on a giant treas...
