HOWDI

Dearest Fam, Well here I am!... still in San Pedro. I will be having another change here with the same companion Elder Lopez. This will be our 3rd change together. Before this companion, the most I had had with one companion was two changes (3 months). Well, I only have two changes left in the mission. That kind of scares me. I really don't know where the time has gone, but yes it has gone by too fast. There is a lot of work still to be done. The mission is progressing every day. Our new president Presidente Cruz is an incredible man. He is bigger than I am!  He is from here in Honduras. He is from the Teguisigalpa area (the capital of Hondo). He and his wife are amazing people.  Well this past week was pretty crazy. We were running around all over the place doing thousands of things. This past week, us missionaries held a Stake Talent Night. Tons and tons of people showed up. It was awesome. Each ward in the stake presented a talent (6 wards) and us missionaries (10) in t...

A LETTER AND PICTURES

Dear Family, It was good hearing from you all. Sounds like everyone is busy running all over the place. The work here in Honduras continues to go forward. This past week was awesome. We are continually being blessed here. On Saturday we had another wedding and 4 Baptisms here in my area. The Perez family got married and baptized. They are the family that just appeared in church about 2 weeks ago on Sunday. The husband was baptized about 2 years ago here in San Pedro but in a different ward. This upcoming Saturday, we are looking to have another baptism here in my area. On Sunday, we were blessed once again by the lord with another family to teach. As we got to Church, we walked in, and there was a new family! The husband once again is a member but his wife no. That is really weird how it happened again. My companion and I are really seeing the blessings from fasting once a week. We have baptized more in this change in this area than any other companionship has done in the past. I know...

HOWDI FROM HONDO!

Dear Fam, Thank you all for the letters this past week. Another week just flew by here in the mission. There are so many things to do these days I feel a little bit of stress. I am trying to work hard each and every day and enjoy each one. The time is going by way too fast. That is so weird that Ben is going home this weekend. It was just yesterday that he left. I still don't want to get baggie because I have so much more time left. There are so many more people I have to find before my mark to go home. These past weeks the Lord has really been blessing us. My companion and I have been fasting once a week to find people to teach and baptize. We have had a little trouble lately here in the area with finding people. But it really has been amazing to see what the Lord is doing for us in this area. One of the blessings that we have received from fasting once a week is all the baptisms we have had lately.  A week ago, after the baptism of Melvin and Marisela, we almost had no more inv...

PICTURES AND A SMALL LETTER

Image
Dear Family,  I don;t have a lot of time today. We went and had a Zone P-day this morning. Here are some pictures of the week. I hope you like them. We had two baptisms in my area and seven in the zone this past weekend. We baptized Melvin Caseres. He is the Dad of the Caseres family that didn't get baptized two weeks ago with them. We also baptized a girl named Marisela, who works in the house of the Elders Quorum President. The baptisms were really spiritual and fun. I will write more next week. Thank you all for your letters and  prayers.  Love, Elder Lee Here are some photos:  1.  The Caseres family at the baptism of Melvin 2.  Marisela, Me and Melvin 3.  I interviewed Elder Searle's baptisms on Friday night. These are two baptisms that he had.   Elder Searle came with me from the MTC. He is a District Leader here in the Zone. 4.  Elder Searle and Me on the 4th of July. We had a division and celebrated by ordering pizza. 5.  A membe...

HOLA FAMILIA

Hola Familia, How is everyone doing? Thank you all for the emails. Thank you Melissa for the pictures of the Goonies. All the Goonies look so much bigger. Becca looks like a woman now, and Ryan looks like an old Dad. Everyone looks like they are growing a lot. Well, it"s been a couple of months since I have cried. I wasn't expecting to see today what I saw in Melissa's letter. My eyes filled up with tears as I thought about all of my childhood memories in our house...all of the good ol' backyard baseball days, night games, camp outs, summers, our home-made golf courses, mowing, tree climbing, swimming, birthday parties, Easter egg hunts, Christmases, Thanksgivings and my bedroom.  I think I will just stay here in Honduras my whole life if there is no more backyard baseball! I really am sad. I want my house back. I want to be a little kid again. I hope you haven't ruined the baseball field. What am I going to do? Well, I really didn't want to return home to th...
