HOLA FAM

Hello from Honduras! Well, this week was full of all kinds of up and downs....more ups than downs though. To start off the week, Monday, I went to La Lopez to help an Elder put on a baptismal date with a sister for this past Saturday (she got baptized). On the little division, a couple of things happened. First, we were walking on the highway at about 8 o'clock at night, and this bum looking guy walks by us, and he had a huge old knife, that he was gripping tightly in his hand, and then he just walked by us staring at us, and then turned around and started walking towards us. Elder Bair and I just took off running as fast as we could. That was one of the scariest moments I have had in Honduras. We got back to the apartment at about 9 o'clock, and Elder Bair had left the keys with his companion who went to Puerto Cortes (my area about 1 hour and 15 minutes away). So, we were locked out of his house. We tried opening a window, and as we were trying to get in the window, the win...

HEY FAM

Dear Family, This week we were really busy. We baptized a man named David Garza. We have a couple for this week. I don't have a lot of time. This next week, I will send some pictures and my little thing for the news letter. We got to go out and work. We spent all day today playing pool and eating at Pizza Hut. Well I gotta go. I am still alive and doing good. My socks aren't though. Well, thanks for all your letters. Have a great week.   Love, Elder Lee

I AM A DAD!

Fam, How is everyone doing? Well, this week I had my first kid in the mission. I am now a Dad. I am still the District Leader here in Puerto Cortez, and I am training a little 19-year-old chunky Guatemalan who's fresh out of the MTC. I have been working harder than ever this past week. I want my new companion to learn how to work hard. We go to the park every hour, every day, and contact anyone in sight. We have found some great investigators doing that. Well, we were supposed to baptize a family of 8 this past Saturday. Two weeks ago we married them, and they were really excited for their baptisms the next Saturday. Then, this past Tuesday, Satan was working really hard with them. A pastor had been visiting them, and they fell. Satan won the battle. We did everything we could. We were visiting them every day, watching Church movies, but they gave in to the power of Satan. They now don’t want to get baptized, and didn’t go to church this past Sunday. W...

HOWDY

Dear Fam, This week was a crazy week. We almost weren’t in our area the whole week. During the week, we had a couple of meetings, and a whole bunch of papers to get from other places to marry people, and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday my comp was in Choloma and Elder Garcia was here with me. My Zone Leader, Elder Garcia, and I spent all day Friday and Saturday in the area of our Sisters in my district, interviewing and putting baptismal dates with people. It rained all day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. On Friday we married the Familia Fuentes. They have 8 kids and 6 of them are going to get baptized this Saturday that is coming up. My Comp is leaving this Wednesday on a transfer. He is a little sad cuz he won't be here for the baptisms of this family. This past weekend people gave me more cake for my birthday. Our mini fridge in our house is full of cake. For the wedding also, we ate cake. The family is a little poor, so one of the members came to the wedding, which we had in their ...

FAMILY LEE

Lee Fam, How is everyone doing? This last week I would have to say was also really great...had a little birthday, great Conference (in Spanish), new investigators, had a little party and talk with President Ochoa. Well, it is now Tuesday. Yesterday, we didn’t have time to write, because we were with President Ochoa  yesterday. Because we were the Celestial Zone of the mission, we had our little talk with President, and also went out to eat again. I have been really blessed to be in the Celestial Zone these past two months. Yesterday, was really great. President Ochoa gave us a really powerful talk that inspired me to be a greater missionary. So, we got permission to use the internet today. Today, we had our District Meeting. The Lord really blessed me. Yesterday, we got home at about 9:00, and I had to make some phone calls, and we had to plan for today, so I had no time to plan my talk thingy for my district today. So, I set my alarm for 5:00 to...
