Tony's mission to Honduras

Dear Family, I don't have much time cuz I am running on a division right now. We just had a Zone Conference, then we played soccer and all went out to eat Chinese food.  Oh, and my new area. I am now the new Zone Leader out here in Colon. This zone is the farthest zone in the mission. We took about a six hour bus ride last Wednesday to get out here. This last month they baptized 14 here (November). The most this zone has ever baptized is 30 in one month. And that happened about three months ago. But, I am way excited to be here. This last week, we had every companionship here set their goals . We have a Zone Goal of 46. I know we are going to get it. Today, we had such on awesome Zone Conference. My Comp Elder Perez and I pumped up our Zone. Everyone is way excited right now. If we keep going like this, I know the Lord is going to bless us. My Comp and I are going to help a lot of Districts get their goal. We are going to sacrifice ourselves like never before. What we did th...

Dear Fam, This was another great week in the mission. There was one let down. We were going to baptize a man on Sunday named Polo that was really great. He is about 50 years old, and we have been visiting him for a little over 3 weeks. But this Sunday, we went to go pick him up, and he just opened his door, and yelled, "I am not getting baptized anymore, nor going back to your church", and then slammed the door. We then knocked on his door again, and he opened it, and said he doesn’t even want to receive us anymore.  I am thinking his pastor  neighbor told him some lies about the Church. That happens a whole ton here. Whenever we start teaching people, pastors start getting involved even though they aren’t even the pastor of the investigator. Satan is always working hard isn’t he? Well, this weekend we had 9 investigators in church, and are preparing a whole lot more to get baptized here pretty soon. We have baptisms planned for the 25th of Nov. ...

Dear Fam, This last week was very interesting. We had a great week and the Lord blessed us greatly. At the beginning of the week we didn’t have very many investigators progressing. So this last week, we absolutely went crazy looking for people running everywhere and talking to anyone in sight. I don’t think I have been rejected so much in one week in my whole mission. We contacted easily over 100 houses and talked to easily over 100 people. We have been struggling to find new investigators. So around Thursday, we found some pretty good families, and a couple of other good people that we are now teaching. The Lord blessed us with seven of our investigators who came to church on Sunday. We have three families that could get baptized on the 18th or the 25th of this month. Well, we have had great success in the zone this past month...like I said, we were the Zona Celestial again (two months in a row), but it was really scary to see Satan try to destroy our zone this past week.
