PARA LA MEJOR FAMILIA DE TODO EL MUNDO

Hola Fam, How is everyone doing? Looks like everyone has forgotten about me this week except for Dad and Miguel. That’s okay though... sounds like everyone is busy with all of their summer chores. Still fillin' them dumpsters up? Do we still have four dumpsters at the house? Well, this week was a sad week. I ran out of contact solution and had to wear my glasses a couple of times. I still have a little bit of saline, but I ran out of cleaner. I can't stand wearing glasses...the rainy season is starting up, and the times I wore my glasses this week, it was pouring rain, and my lenses were getting fogged up, so I took my glasses off and went blind (still guided by the Spirit). Also, this week we crossed a river in our shoes cuz there was no other way to get across to our investigators, and another time we walked through water up to our knees, but that was actually kind of fun. Anyways, the only other sad part about this week was that we didn’t baptize. Oh, something else sad is...

HOLA FROM HONDURAS

Dear Fam, I don't have much time to write today. Actually I only have ten minutes because I have been reading your letters and opening photos forever. So, I will just talk about the highlights of the week. This past Saturday, we baptized Franklin (the guy we just married) in a river. It was a crazy day...we didn’t have water, and we couldn’t get a hold of anyone, so we took him to the river, sang hymns, and said a prayer. We gave talks and then baptized him. It was really awesome. We have had some really crazy days this past week. Friday and Saturday we only taught one lesson cuz we were running all over the place. We had to go to San Pedro to help the Zone Leaders out with this wedding they were having, and a whole bunch of other crazy stuff. But it was fun. I like crazy days sometimes. Well this last Sunday, we had four investigators in Church. This Saturday, we are hoping to marry a couple, and baptize the Sister with her daughter cuz the husband is already a member. We also h...

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER!

Dear Family, How is everyone doing? I would send you a picture of my new companion, but I lost my cord. I am not sure if I left it in Elder Khans bag, or where I put it.  My new companion's name is Elder Mejia from Guatemala. I miss Elder Khan. We had a great time together. My new Comp is a great kid and missionary though. He has three  months in the mission. I am now the Senior Companion. From the time he came on Wednesday, to this past Sunday, we taught 33 lessons and have 17 new investigators. I have never taught that many in five days before now. We found a whole bunch of people to teach. We married a couple this past Saturday, and are going to baptize him this coming Saturday cuz his wife is already a member. It was a blessing from God that we were able to marry them. We went to their house Wednesday after the change meeting to talk with them about their wedding. He wasn’t very excited about it, and was doubting. We told them to talk about it, and we would come back on ...

Lee Family, How is everyone doing? Well, I will have a little more time to write today since there was only Dad's letter waiting for me. So, how did the Oregon Coast treat you guys? I can't believe a year has past since I graduated. That was one of the fastest years ever. The time is flying by so fast. This past week has been kind of weird seeing everyone saying goodbye to Elder Khan, and seeing him prepare to go back home. I don't want those days to come too soon for me. My Comp is a little nervous about going back home. He says he wouldn't mind another month in the mission with me in this area. These last couple of days he has been kind of baggie and has been talking about home a lot. Last night we were up late talking. Tuesday night we are going to be eating like crazy. Everybody wants to feed us their best baleadas and food right before Elder Khan leaves, so food-wise we have been doing alright lately. Well, this last week, we were supposed to marry a couple, so w...
