FAMILIA LEE

Dear Fam,   
How is everyone doing? I don't have much time today to write, so I have to make this quick. Seems like everyone is doing great...like you guys haven't stopped vacationing. That is awesome Becca!...taking 2nd in state. Sounds like that was really exciting. Wish I could have been there to see it. Becca, you sound just like me in your letters...So competitive. My Companion and I had a conversation on competitiveness and pride this last week...we were looking at talks and quotes on pride. It was quite interesting. I think sports teaches some of life's greatest lessons. Well today, all day, we went to visit two of my Companion's old areas. We visited his old members and converts. It was really fun...as Elder Khan talked with the members and converts about old times, I talked, played, and took pictures with little kids. Well, this week has been good. One 17-year-old-kid we were going to baptize this past Saturday let us down. And none of our investigators came to church. So, that means we probably won't have a baptism this upcoming Saturday. Oh, and this past week our house flooded again. So, that was great fun. It has been a little rainy this past week. Oh, and before I forget, I had to take 500 limps out of the bank today cuz our money wasn't in there, and now I have to pay for our traveling. I wanted to ask some questions before I forget also... Mom could you have Becca ask Mr. Gerson to get all the pictures he took of me, and the pictures me and dad took at wrestling nationals, and my football videos before he erases them or throws them away. So Dad, you said you had a lot of projects going at home...So what are you doing? Are you gonna get the garage finished?. Are you guys still going to make a game room? Are you still planning to put up a fence? Well I have nine minutes left. Oh, and mom if any of my friends ask, tell them they can email me, but I can't email them back. And I also have another question... Could you some how get a old of Danny Garcia's address for me. I really want to write him. Maybe talk to Edgar Mendez, and he could get it somehow. If you could do that, that would be great. Also if you could get Jonathon Smith's address for me. He will probably be home for the summer. That is weird...seems like it was summer yesterday, and I was life-guarding. The time is flying by in the mission. Before I know it, it's going to be gone. I am trying to make the best of it. Next week, I will have a new Comp, so that will be really interesting. I will probably have to change back to just speaking Spanish again. Well my time is running really low. Note from Elder Khan:  Dear Lee Family,  I am really glad to be writing to you.  You have a very wonderful son.  We have had an excellent few weeks together.  We seem to thoroughly enjoy each moment of each day.  Elder Lee, without a doubt, is an excellent missionary, person, son, and a wonderful friend.  I look up to him in many ways and respect him, and equally respect you, as his family, for bringing up such a great guy.  It is a wonderful blessing to grow up with the Gospel, and to live by those standards. We cannot go a day without sharing some story or something that we have experienced.  We don't have much time, but one day we will be able to talk more. With much love and respect, Elder Khan

Dear Dad, How are you? This email is just to answer some of your questions. So Chris is going to be down here on Monday. I don’t think anybody I know here in my area would be able to get him from the airport. Nobody has a car and the ones that do have a car are working during the daytime. So I don’t know what he can do. And as for working with me on Monday and Tuesday, that would be awesome. Only Monday we don’t go out and work until 6:00. So maybe he would want to meet up with us Tuesday. I am going to see if it is okay with President. But where is he going to sleep? He won’t be able to sleep in our house. Lee Family, How is everyone doing? Well, I will have a little more time to write today since there was only Dad's letter waiting for me. So, how did the Oregon Coast treat you guys? I can't believe a year has past since I graduated. That was one of the fastest years ever. The time is flying by so fast. This past week has been kind of weird seeing everyone saying goodbye to Elder Khan, and seeing him prepare to go back home. I don't want those days to come too soon for me. My Comp is a little nervous about going back home. He says he wouldn't mind another month in the mission with me in this area. These last couple of days he has been kind of baggie and has been talking about home a lot. Last night we were up late talking. Tuesday night we are going to be eating like crazy. Everybody wants to feed us their best baleadas and food right before Elder Khan leaves, so food-wise we have been doing alright lately. PHOTOS; NEW AREA; NEW COMP

  1.   My new Comp with a nice little sunset 2.  This is my area. To the left (you can't see the house) is the Familia Martinez.  They are the ones who have been attending Church for three months.  They finally decided this week to get married. 3.  Here I am in my new area. We are dumping out Gieovanni´s coffee.   He his going to get married and baptized this upcoming weekend. 4.  My new Comp and Me today on some little bridge nearby our area.  5.  This is the couple we married Friday.  She speaks a little English. She is part black.  There are a lot of black people here. They are Garifunas. I don't know what it is, but a ton of little black kids here have hair that is sun bleached. It's very interesting.  I am thin ki ng my hair will get really white here. 6.  The Zona Celestial. We baptized 59 the month of August...Mission record!  Here we are eating a little Chinese food with President. ...
