PARA LA MEJOR FAMILIA DE TODO EL MUNDO
Hola
Fam,
How
is everyone doing? Looks like everyone has forgotten about me this week except
for Dad and Miguel. That’s okay though... sounds like everyone is busy with all
of their summer chores. Still fillin' them dumpsters up? Do we still have four
dumpsters at the house? Well, this week was a sad week. I ran out of contact
solution and had to wear my glasses a couple of times. I still have a little
bit of saline, but I ran out of cleaner. I can't stand wearing glasses...the
rainy season is starting up, and the times I wore my glasses this week, it was
pouring rain, and my lenses were getting fogged up, so I took my glasses off
and went blind (still guided by the Spirit). Also, this week we crossed a river
in our shoes cuz there was no other way to get across to our investigators, and
another time we walked through water up to our knees, but that was actually
kind of fun. Anyways, the only other sad part about this week was that we
didn’t baptize. Oh, something else sad is happening...I am running out of
colored lead for my nice scripture marker that I bought at the MTC. So, maybe
you can save me Mom. If you don’t know what they look like, call Chris...he
knows what the color sticks look like. Besides all of that we had a great week.
We weren’t able to marry a couple that were supposed to get married this last
Saturday because their partidas didn’t come. We are having a member go to
Coapan to get one of them. We should have them by this Saturday. We have things
planned to marry them this Saturday and baptize the mom and the daughter that
same Saturday. This last week we also found another couple. Well, we actually
found them Saturday. They went to church Sunday, and they already told us they
are going to go this upcoming Sunday. We haven’t talked to them about marriage
yet, but we are going to tomorrow. They are bien Pilas though, so I am thinking
we are going to marry them also. I cant remember if I told you about this other
couple we are going to marry. Tatcho and Juana. They were a reference from our
last baptism, Franklin, and this past Sunday Franklin brought them to Church
with him. Working with this couple has also animated Franklin to help in the
missionary work. Missionary work is awesome. Everyone can be a missionary. When
I get off my mission, I am going to be a Pilas member. I am going to go out
with the missionaries all the time. I want to be the kind of member that when
the missionaries walk by our house, they will say, "The members that live
there are awesome!" That’s one of my goals when I get off the mission. All
the rest, we won't talk about right now. Last night, we also found this man,
Johnny Grande, sitting on his bike. We walked up and talked to him, cuz he was
just sitting there. We started talking, and he said he wanted to change his
life. After that, we went to his house which was nearby and taught him the
first lesson, and watched a couple of little video clips. Afterwards, out of
the middle of nowhere, he told us he had some pornography videos that he wanted
us to destroy for him. So, he gave us the DVDs, we crushed them, and threw them
in his trash. He is way awesome. We are expecting great things with him. He has
a wife, but she wasn’t there. We are going back to teach them both tomorrow. It
is really nice to have a P-day like this one today. This past week, we have
been literally running from appointment to appointment. I remember Doctor
Clower down at the pharmacy told me right before my mission that these two
years would be a nice little rest for my knee. Now that I think of that, I
laugh. We walk and run so much. But, anyways this past week, we also had a
Multi-Zone Conference and a Zone Conference. I went on two divisions to work in
other areas. So, this past week was pretty crazy. I was all over the place.
Well, that was the whole week. Thanks for all your letters, support, love,
etc.. You’re the best family in the world. I have to run, have a haircut, and
maybe write a letter. Thanks again for everything. Love, Elder Lee
