Dear Family,
Well, here I am after a week of sacrifice. This past week our Zone did a week of sacrifice. We cut an hour out of our eating time and used it to work. We also started off the week with a fast, and we had to teach a certain number of lessons, and wake up in the mornings at 5:00 to read the Book of Mormon and pray. We also had to do a 105 mini lessons to find people to teach. We had an amazing week! We had this couple who really didn’t want to get married or baptized, and then they got married and baptized this past week, after a lot of testimonies and prayers. The wedding was awesome...they are so happy now. We only baptized two this past Saturday. Sorry, I wish I could tell you all everything that happened this week, but I only have 15 minutes to type cuz our Zone just got back from a hike we did, and we have to get going. So next week I will send the pictures of the baptisms and of the wedding. Also, I will send a hand-written letter in the mail with my chip.  I can buy a chip here, but they are way expensive.  Anyways, I can get along for now.  Anyways, today we hiked up this mini mountain. It took us about two hours. There was this little town up there that you would never know even existed. They had this little soccer field with goals made out of sticks. Our Zone played soccer for about two hours with a whole bunch of school kids in there little uniforms. It was way fun, but I did get a little sun-burnt. So this coming week, we have five that can get baptized. We won't be marrying anyone this week though.  I am really excited right now for how our Zone is doing. Last month, we baptized 39, which no zone has ever baptized before! This month, it's only the 21st of August and we have 45 baptisms, and we should be ending up this month with around 57.  That will be a record for a Zone in this mission.  We are all trying to stay humble, so the Lord will continue to work miracles through us. Dear Dad, How are you? This email is just to answer some of your questions. So Chris is going to be down here on Monday. I don’t think anybody I know here in my area would be able to get him from the airport. Nobody has a car and the ones that do have a car are working during the daytime. So I don’t know what he can do. And as for working with me on Monday and Tuesday, that would be awesome. Only Monday we don’t go out and work until 6:00. So maybe he would want to meet up with us Tuesday. I am going to see if it is okay with President. But where is he going to sleep? He won’t be able to sleep in our house. Lee Family, How is everyone doing? Well, I will have a little more time to write today since there was only Dad's letter waiting for me. So, how did the Oregon Coast treat you guys? I can't believe a year has past since I graduated. That was one of the fastest years ever. The time is flying by so fast. This past week has been kind of weird seeing everyone saying goodbye to Elder Khan, and seeing him prepare to go back home. I don't want those days to come too soon for me. My Comp is a little nervous about going back home. He says he wouldn't mind another month in the mission with me in this area. These last couple of days he has been kind of baggie and has been talking about home a lot. Last night we were up late talking. Tuesday night we are going to be eating like crazy. Everybody wants to feed us their best baleadas and food right before Elder Khan leaves, so food-wise we have been doing alright lately.   1.   My new Comp with a nice little sunset 2.  This is my area. To the left (you can't see the house) is the Familia Martinez.  They are the ones who have been attending Church for three months.  They finally decided this week to get married. 3.  Here I am in my new area. We are dumping out Gieovanni´s coffee.   He his going to get married and baptized this upcoming weekend. 4.  My new Comp and Me today on some little bridge nearby our area.  5.  This is the couple we married Friday.  She speaks a little English. She is part black.  There are a lot of black people here. They are Garifunas. I don't know what it is, but a ton of little black kids here have hair that is sun bleached. It's very interesting.  I am thin ki ng my hair will get really white here. 6.  The Zona Celestial.
