BAPTISMS!!!!
Dear Fam,
Just want to let you all know I am alive, and I don't have much time to write. We had a great week this last week. We married two couples and had two baptisms. This upcoming week, we could baptize 5 more, if some marriage papers come. We have also found some other great people this last week. Saturday, we found a 30-year-old man who lives by himself and has a couple of kids. He came to our baptism on Saturday night and was in Church before everyone Sunday morning. After Church, he asked us if there were any extra Ensigns that he could have. He also wanted a Book of Mormon, and the book, "Teachings of the Prophet Wilford Woodruff. He is awesome. We found him in the park on Thursday, gave him one of the new pamphlets that we have, and when we arrived at his house Saturday, he told us he had been waiting 3 hours for us to arrive. He had "eaten the pamphlet alive". He had everything marked with a million questions and a hundred comments. He is what we would call a chosen one. So, we have only known him for about 2 days, and he pretty much already has a baptism date for the 23rd. We lost one of our families we had been working with. The man was really, really awesome, but he talked with his pastor, and now won't even let us in their house. Well I really don't have a lot of time. I have a lot of awesome pictures I would love to send. Today, we went to Omoa to a castle that is there. Then we went to the Beach. We all went as a Zone. I love being our District Leader. This past Tuesday, in my District Meeting, I gave an awesome talk. I then put things up that we are going to do as a District . We then talked about a District Goal. I had us kneel down and promise the Lord that we are going to reach that goal for this month. It was really great. After the Districts met, the Zone Leader talked with our whole Zone and asked the Zone if everybody would be alright with doing these same sacrifices that our District is doing. Everyone agreed, then as a Zone, we all knelt down and committed ourselves to the Lord...promising that we are going to reach our Zone goal for the month. This past Saturday, we had another Zone Conference. Friday, my Zone Leader told me that he wanted me to give the same talk I gave to my District, but to the whole Zone. So Saturday, in the Zone Conference, I talked for about 20 minutes. This talk was even more powerful. I felt the Lord really working through me. Anyways, that is a little bit about this past week. I really have to go now. Thank you all for your letters. Have a great week. Love, Elder Lee
