NEW AREA AND ZONE
Dear Family,
I don't have much time
cuz I am running on a division right now. We just had a Zone Conference, then
we played soccer and all went out to eat Chinese food. Oh, and my new
area. I am now the new Zone Leader out here in Colon. This zone is the farthest
zone in the mission. We took about a six hour bus ride last Wednesday to get out
here. This last month they baptized 14 here (November). The most this zone has
ever baptized is 30 in one month. And that happened about three months ago. But, I
am way excited to be here. This last week, we had every companionship
here set their goals . We have a Zone Goal of 46. I know we are going to
get it. Today, we had such on awesome Zone Conference. My Comp Elder Perez and
I pumped up our Zone. Everyone is way excited right now. If we keep going like
this, I know the Lord is going to bless us. My Comp and I are going to help a
lot of Districts get their goal. We are going to sacrifice ourselves like never
before. What we did this last Saturday was awesome. Every district in the Zone
had a cake party. We had sisters in every district make five cakes each. Then we
invited millions of people to this little cake party with little sheets of
paper. Here in my Branch, I gave a ten minute talk on the joy of missionary
work. Then we put one cake out in front of everyone. We gave everyone a
sheet of paper that we made that had Name:
Direction: at the top. Then we said whoever fills up
their sheet first wins the cake. There was space for about 15 names and
directions on each sheet. So we did that with three cakes. Then at the end,
everybody ate the two big cakes. It was way fun. Now, what we are going to do
with the sheets of paper... we are going to go to each member's house and
get on our knees and pray with them, and then ask them…of all these people pick
5 families that we can baptize. We received so many references. It was awesome.
Well this weekend, we have two baptismal dates...the two guys that we put for
this weekend. Then in 2-3 weeks we have another family of 6. Well gotta run.
Love you all. See you later. Hope you all enjoyed Thanksgiving. Give my
"good luck" to the football team. Adios.
Love, Elder Lee P.S. Thanksgiving was great. I ate a bag of chips with a chocolate milk
