MERRRRRY CHRISTMAS!
Dear Family,
This week was another great week. Not just for us, but for the whole zone. This past Saturday, we baptized 18 souls in the zone. Right now, as a zone, we have baptized 27 this month, and we still have two weeks left in the month of December. This zone has never baptized over 30, in the mission's history, in one month. And it's only the 18th of December and the Lord has given us 27 baptisms! I would love to send a photo of our baptisms this last week, but my companion doesn’t have his cord. This upcoming week, we have about five more people in our area that can get baptized. In our zone, we have a ton of possibilities for the end of this week. My comp and I just got home from our little trip out to Trujillo. A family got baptized this past weekend, but the Dad didn’t want his children to get baptized. So my comp and I, after church here in our Branch, took a bus ride with two other Elders to Trujillo, and went and animated this guy. We told him the blessings kids can receive for getting baptized, so then the Dad decided to let his kids get baptized. So, we held their baptism service that day, in Trujillo. The little girl of the family only wanted me to baptize her, so we found baptismal pants my size, and I baptized one of the two kids. It was a great little baptismal service, and a lot of members attended to support them. After the baptismal service, a Sister from the Branch invited us to eat at her house. So at 7:30, we went to her house to eat chicken and fish with banana French fries. Then we stayed to talk for about a half hour, and then we all went back to the house there in Trujillo. We slept at the Elders' house and played some “UNO”. In the morning (today), we went to the beach and played for about three hours, then ate at a restaurant right there on the beach. It was really fun. We just got back from Trujillo. This last week, I went to Coyales again to help the Elders out there. In this change, I have almost more time out of my area helping Elders with their investigators than in my own area with our investigators. The Lord is really blessing us though in our area. This last Wednesday, we had a Christmas activity/devotional with another Zone called the Cieba. It was pretty fun. We listened to President, then sang Christmas hymns, and then watched a mission video that President had made. It was really fun. Then to top it all off, I got your other package in the mail. That makes two. Thank you so very much for the Reese's Puffs. That was a long year of fasting from the puffs! I have been eating Reese’s puffs for breakfast and dinner. Well, I hope you are all having a great Christmas. I hope you all enjoy the coast this upcoming week. Thank you so much for your letters. Oh yeah, and if you want to call me this Christmas, here is the number 504 444 2363. Call me today to tell me if you are going to call the 24th or the 25th, and the hour you want to talk. I will only have 30-45 minutes, around that range. I need to know today, because I need to reserve that time with the phone, because other elders from the Zone will be using that same phone. Call tonight if you can. Who knows what time it is there, but call at about 8:45 p.m, my time. Well, hope you all enjoy your week. Love ya’ll lots. Love, Elder Lee
