HELLOOOOOOOO!

Dearest Family,
This week was awesome. We didn’t have very many baptisms in the zone, but the Lord is preparing millions. I want to tell you all about our week before, but I don’t know where to start.  Monday was really awesome. We had P-day, then we had a zone conference (last zone meeting before changes which are Wednesday) So at 6:00, we had the conference. To start the conference, I had my companion take the whole zone and go eat dinner at a chicken place. I stayed behind with Elder Schmidt and filled 300 hundred water balloons, and put all the balloons in small garbage cans and went and hid them outside. Everybody came back at around 6:45. And they all asked what we had been doing. I told them preparing a little surprise/gift for the zone. So we started the conference in the church at about 7:15. We sang, prayed, and then we talked about all the possibilities we had in the zone and our new goals. We then had a story time. We all shared an experience that we have had in our lives or here on the mission that has helped us grow or learn something. It was really spiritual to listen to all the stories of the missionaries. Some told about miracles they have seen in the mission; some told their conversion story; and some told regular but spiritual stories. After that, I talked to the zone for about 20 minutes. Then, we all knelt in a circle and said a prayer as a zone to ask for the Lord's help in reaching our goal for this month. It was a really great little conference to get everyone excited for the month. After the prayer, we told everyone we wanted to take a picture of the "Celestial Zone" outside. So we took everyone outside by the soccer/basketball court, and we lined everyone up. We said we just wanted a picture of the missionaries without the leaders of our zone in it. So we lined everyone up on the wall. And right by our side were water balloons filled up. But they didn’t know what they were because there were white sheets draped over the buckets. We told everyone after the picture, one by one, we would give them a little gift. So we took a picture of them. And then we took off the sheet and just started launching water balloons at them all. It was so fun, everyone was lined up ready to get pasted. But there were enough balloons for everyone, so we all ended up getting soaking wet. It was really, really fun. At the end, we took a zone picture of everyone all wet. Anyways, this week something awesome did happen. On Tuesday night, I was on a division with Elder Hesson and we were talking in our beds. We were talking how it would be awesome to go open up an area where there have never been any missionaries before. As we were talking, the dream turned into something we really wanted to do. I told him I knew of a little village outside my area, about 10 minutes from my area, where a member lady lives from the Branch, and that we could go check it out one day. We were up until 12:00 talking about this plan in our beds. So on Friday, I took E. Hesson out there, and two other missionaries, after we had our leadership meeting. We just started talking to everyone in sight. We taught a bunch of amazing people. We invited everyone to the member's house for a special meeting we were going to have that upcoming Sunday. So Saturday night, I called up the Assistants to tell them about our discovery. I told them we have a little village where we would like to have a Sacrament meeting on Sunday. So the APs called President Ochoa, and he gave us permission to go out there Sunday, and hold a Sacrament meeting. So Sunday in the afternoon, we took 2 other missionaries out there, and we also took President Arana who's here in Tocoa on a mission with his wife. We all went out there at about 4:00. We started passing by all of the houses and re-inviting everyone. So behind the Sister's house (her house is made out of mud and sticks), we had the meeting. We had a little table with the Sacrament on it, with a nice white cloth. Everyone was sitting on fallen trees or stumps. Brother Arana presided over the meeting. I blessed the Sacrament, and another Elder passed it. As for the talks:  I talked for about 15 minutes and then Elder Peñalba talked for another 15. We sang hymns and everything. The Spirit was really strong there. It was one of the best experiences of my mission. To be there with all those humble people. We had 41 investigators there, and the Sister, who is a member, and her kids, and her husband, who is inactive. He got really excited and loved it. I think we are going to have another one next week, and start baptizing people there. I loved that little experience. Well, I don’t have a lot of time. The time runs out fast these days. Thanks for all your letters. Oh, and what's up with Kris? Is he going back out in the mission field? Will he be going back to Spain or another mission? Well, this Wednesday we will be having changes and a conference for the whole mission. It will be sweet. Well, it sounds like everyone is doing great. Isn't life awesome? Live it to the max! Work your hardest, and never settle for nothing but the best. Love you all. Love, Elder Lee
