HONDURAS ROCKS

Dear Family,
To answer Dad's questions from last week, before I forget. I might need a couple of more shirts. If you send some shirts, send me some 16 1/2" neck size, athletic fit, and the kind of material that I like (not the thick kind). Yes my neck has gotten smaller. And as for my shoes…my Doc Martins are still holding up pretty good. They have a little hole in them, but I am going to use them until they die completely. And about a week ago, I took out about 2,500 lempiras to pay for the phone bill. But, I will get that money back. I am getting some new pants to wear. Well, this week has been a little crazy. I have been out of the area traveling everywhere...visiting other areas to pick up birth certificates for upcoming marriages. This upcoming week, is going to be fun too. This is going to be our week to call down the miracles of Heaven. Today we had an amazing Zone Leader Conference in San Pedro. Elder Clark (a seventy) came to visit us. He talked in the last general conference. He was absolutely amazing. The Spirit was really strong and I learned so much. That man has so much energy to work...in the work of the Lord. He has a really strong testimony of this Gospel. And this Wednesday, we are going to have another opportunity to hear him in at a Multi-Zone Conference. Right now, I am in San Pedro and I am going to stay here the night, and work in the area of the office secretaries. We will leave tomorrow morning to Colon (at 3:00 AM) to get back for the District Meetings in Tocoa at 9:30. I wish I could tell you all about the Conference today and everything I learned, but I will have to write another letter by hand. Well, I have to get going. Keep preaching the gospel to everyone. Dear Dad, How are you? This email is just to answer some of your questions. So Chris is going to be down here on Monday. I don’t think anybody I know here in my area would be able to get him from the airport. Nobody has a car and the ones that do have a car are working during the daytime. So I don’t know what he can do. And as for working with me on Monday and Tuesday, that would be awesome. Only Monday we don’t go out and work until 6:00. So maybe he would want to meet up with us Tuesday. I am going to see if it is okay with President. But where is he going to sleep? He won’t be able to sleep in our house. Is he going to rent a car?   What are his plans? We have interviews with President on Wednesday… I will talk to prez. Yes Brother Butts is back in Honduras now. You can call him. Lee Family, How is everyone doing? Well, I will have a little more time to write today since there was only Dad's letter waiting for me. So, how did the Oregon Coast treat you guys? I can't believe a year has past since I graduated. That was one of the fastest years ever. The time is flying by so fast. This past week has been kind of weird seeing everyone saying goodbye to Elder Khan, and seeing him prepare to go back home. I don't want those days to come too soon for me. My Comp is a little nervous about going back home. He says he wouldn't mind another month in the mission with me in this area. These last couple of days he has been kind of baggie and has been talking about home a lot. Last night we were up late talking. Tuesday night we are going to be eating like crazy. Everybody wants to feed us their best baleadas and food right before Elder Khan leaves, so food-wise we have been doing alright lately.   1.   My new Comp with a nice little sunset 2.  This is my area. To the left (you can't see the house) is the Familia Martinez.  They are the ones who have been attending Church for three months.  They finally decided this week to get married. 3.  Here I am in my new area. We are dumping out Gieovanni´s coffee.   He his going to get married and baptized this upcoming weekend. 4.  My new Comp and Me today on some little bridge nearby our area.  5.  This is the couple we married Friday.  She speaks a little English. She is part black.  There are a lot of black people here. They are Garifunas. I don't know what it is, but a ton of little black kids here have hair that is sun bleached. It's very interesting.  I am thin ki ng my hair will get really white here. 6.  The Zona Celestial.
