LOVING HONDURAS

Dearest Family,
This week has been full of all kinds of work. Sorry about last week. I had a change, so that's why I didn't write. I am now in Santa Cruz de Joja. Its about 2 hours from San Pedro. My new companion is Elder Lopez from Guatemala. He goes home next change. Where I am at is a Branch, but it has an attendance of a little over 100 people. If we can get the attendance a little higher, they are going to convert it into a Ward! They already have the necessary tithe payers and priesthood holders. It is a great Branch. There are about six return missionaries. For a unit here in Honduras, that is a lot. I am ready for the new little task the Lord has given me. Right now the work is going great here. We are doing divisions with the members about 3 times per week and teaching a lot of lessons with members. We have two weddings and baptisms coming up for the 28th of this month. I love the members and the people here. But at the same time, I miss Colon and everything the Lord did there. The mission just gets greater everyday. There are always speed bumps here and there, but the journey is great. It scares me to think that I only have 6 months left in the mission. I don't want the time to go by too fast. I want to work harder then ever, I want the Lord to trust in me more than ever. I just want to help all of these lost souls know the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. After the mission, I don't ever want to stop being a missionary. If someone wants to be my friend, they are going to have to get baptized! I want to share my testimony every day and keep helping my Father in Heaven with His work. Well, tomorrow we have interviews with President, so I will be going to San Pedro. I am going to buy a chip for my new camera. I will be taking a little bit of money out of the account. I hope there is a little bit in there. Well I have to get running. Dear Dad, How are you? This email is just to answer some of your questions. So Chris is going to be down here on Monday. I don’t think anybody I know here in my area would be able to get him from the airport. Nobody has a car and the ones that do have a car are working during the daytime. So I don’t know what he can do. And as for working with me on Monday and Tuesday, that would be awesome. Only Monday we don’t go out and work until 6:00. So maybe he would want to meet up with us Tuesday. I am going to see if it is okay with President. But where is he going to sleep? He won’t be able to sleep in our house. Is he going to rent a car?   What are his plans? We have interviews with President on Wednesday… I will talk to prez. Yes Brother Butts is back in Honduras now. You can call him. Lee Family, How is everyone doing? Well, I will have a little more time to write today since there was only Dad's letter waiting for me. So, how did the Oregon Coast treat you guys? I can't believe a year has past since I graduated. That was one of the fastest years ever. The time is flying by so fast. This past week has been kind of weird seeing everyone saying goodbye to Elder Khan, and seeing him prepare to go back home. I don't want those days to come too soon for me. My Comp is a little nervous about going back home. He says he wouldn't mind another month in the mission with me in this area. These last couple of days he has been kind of baggie and has been talking about home a lot. Last night we were up late talking. Tuesday night we are going to be eating like crazy. Everybody wants to feed us their best baleadas and food right before Elder Khan leaves, so food-wise we have been doing alright lately. PHOTOS; NEW AREA; NEW COMP

  1.   My new Comp with a nice little sunset 2.  This is my area. To the left (you can't see the house) is the Familia Martinez.  They are the ones who have been attending Church for three months.  They finally decided this week to get married. 3.  Here I am in my new area. We are dumping out Gieovanni´s coffee.   He his going to get married and baptized this upcoming weekend. 4.  My new Comp and Me today on some little bridge nearby our area.  5.  This is the couple we married Friday.  She speaks a little English. She is part black.  There are a lot of black people here. They are Garifunas. I don't know what it is, but a ton of little black kids here have hair that is sun bleached. It's very interesting.  I am thin ki ng my hair will get really white here. 6.  The Zona Celestial.
