HOLA FAMILIA

Hola Familia,
How is everyone doing? Thank you all for the emails. Thank you Melissa for the pictures of the Goonies. All the Goonies look so much bigger. Becca looks like a woman now, and Ryan looks like an old Dad. Everyone looks like they are growing a lot. Well, it"s been a couple of months since I have cried. I wasn't expecting to see today what I saw in Melissa's letter. My eyes filled up with tears as I thought about all of my childhood memories in our house...all of the good ol' backyard baseball days, night games, camp outs, summers, our home-made golf courses, mowing, tree climbing, swimming, birthday parties, Easter egg hunts, Christmases, Thanksgivings and my bedroom.  I think I will just stay here in Honduras my whole life if there is no more backyard baseball! I really am sad. I want my house back. I want to be a little kid again. I hope you haven't ruined the baseball field. What am I going to do? Well, I really didn't want to return home to the Tri-Cities, but I guess that is life. What a sad day. Well anyways, this week was all right. The 29th of June was San Pedro Sula day, and it was a celebration all this past week. It was a little rough contacting because nobody was in their house. The whole week people were either out of their house at a party or at the fair or they were in their house having a party. I am glad this week has past. On Sunday, only 60 people came to church. Normally there are about 90-100. Even the members were burnt out from all the partying. This upcoming week, we should have two baptisms in my area. We will be baptizing the man that didn't get baptized with his family (Melvin) and a 16-year-old girl named Marisela. We are working hard to find new investigators. On Saturday, we had a Zone Conference. We planned a Stake Talent Show and Movie Night for the 4th of July. We are going to have each ward prepare two talents or acts (there are 6 wards in this stake). Us missionaries are also going to prepare two talents. At the end, we are going to watch a five minute little movie about a girl who gave a book of Mormon to a friend, and just for that little simple act, his whole family was baptized. At the end, we are going to hand out a little paper to everyone. We are going to sing a hymn, and during the hymn, we are going to ask all the members to put a name down on their paper of someone that they think might receive the Gospel and get baptized with their family. I am really excited for it. I know it will be awesome. I love this area and my zone. We are like a family here. The members are so awesome and always so willing to leave what they are doing and work with us. They are also really generous with food. :) Well, the new President came in a little bit late. We still haven't met him. He got here on the 30th. I think this week we are going to have our Zone Leader Conference with him, so that should be really special. I still am going to miss President Ochoa a lot. Change is hard. Well I have got to get going. We ate at Apple Bees today, and now don't have the usual amount of time. Thank you all for everything. Melissa enjoy your new house. Its the best you could have found. Goonies take care of my bedroom and the baseball field. Until next week. Love you all. Love, Elder Lee
