TO THE FAM

Dearest Fam,
Well, today we don't have much time so this might be a little short. Dad, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope you enjoyed it. How do you feel being 1 year older? Do you got a lot of grey hairs yet? I hope you are enjoying your new car. The Cadillac can be mine when I get home, I hope. Thanks :). Well, this past week was a little crazy, but great. We had all kinds of meetings. On Tuesday, we had our normal District Meetings, and afterwards, we did a division with the APs....they are part of our Zone here in San Pedro. On Wednesday, we had our Zone Leaders' Conference with President Cruz. It went really great. Those are always my favorite meetings. About half of the Zone that I had in Colon are now Zone Leaders. So, it is always good to get together to talk about the good old Colon days. On Friday, we had our Zone Leadership Meeting (with all you can eat baleadas in the morning). Saturday, we had an awesome meeting with Elder Steven Snow who is in the Presidency of the First Quorum of the Seventy. It was a surprise conference...we didn't know who was going to speak. It was really awesome. He can't speak Spanish, so he had a translator. It was really weird to hear the same talk in two different languages at the same time. We also had an Area Seventy from Guatemala speak to us who served here in this mission in 1986. They were both really special. The Spirit was really strong. On Saturday, we also had a baptism. Soñia was baptized. It was really nice. A lot of members showed up to support the baptism. It has been great to see how the testimony of Sonia has grown in these past couple of weeks. She truly was prepared before we even found her. Well, I have to get running. The work is continuing to grow here in Honduras. In our mission, this past month of July, we baptized 408 people. Can you believe that? 408 baptisms in one month! The Lord really is blessing us. It has been amazing to see how the mission has changed in these past two years. When I came to the mission, the mission was baptizing 100-150 per month and now we are baptizing in the 400's! This was the first time in the history of the mission that we baptized over 400 people in one month. I am sure the Lord is happy to see 400 souls repent and come unto him. Every soul counts. And the Lord wants thousands. Missionary work is so awesome. It’s like a giant football game. Well I need to get going. Here is the picture of our baptism we had on Saturday. Oh, and yes, my package got here. Here, in about an hour, I am going back to the house to have another bowl of Reese's Puffs cereal. THANK YOU SO MUCH...and also for the shirts. They fit awesome. And it’s awesome to wear a white shirt again. Well, have a great week. Thank you all for everything. Love ya much.
Love, Elder Lee  Here is a photo of Sonia's Baptism:
