HELLO AGAIN!
Dearest Goonies and Family,
Well, I just got done writing a huge letter and
I lost it and I am not very happy. Here are the highlights: This last Tuesday we had a sweet Zone Leader Conference with Elder Farabela,
who is in the First Quorum of the Seventy and will be talking in this General Conference
that is coming. The conference was amazing. I am happy because this Thursday I will be completing 21 years old and I still
feel like a 14 year old boy. My cook is going to throw me a birthday party, but
not this week because she is going to the temple in Guatemala. My new Companion and I are fasting every week to keep seeing miracles in this
little area. The Lord really has blessed me and it has been a blessing to see my
converts in this area use their priesthood by blessing and passing the sacrament,
and going on divisions with us during the week. This Saturday my convert
Brother Melvin Caseres will be baptizing his 8 year old son David. I am way
excited. This Tuesday will be my last Multi-Zone conference...sad day
Information for Dad: Tocoa is in Colon. It is about 6 hours on the bus. If you
want to go out there on a bus, it would be kind of fun. The buses that go out to Clon are nice and clean. But if you want to rent a car that would be nice to.
As for here in San Pedro, we will need a car because you will not want to ride on the buses here in San Pedro.
Special Favor---The 24th, after the change meeting, I would like to take two families out to lunch. The Stake President’s family (my cook) and the Bishop’s family (my cook, Sister Lara, and the bishop are brother and sister). I would like to take them out to Apple Bees. A plate at Apple Bees is pretty cheap. About 10 dollars. And there probably won’t be more than 10 people. These two families have kept me alive here in this area by feeding us. They give us two or 3 times the amount of food that we pay for and are always willing to help us in everything. I would like to thank them by taking them out to lunch with you guys on the 24th. So write me in your next letter and tell me if that would be OK, so that I can plan it and talk to them, so that they can be prepared. I can’t lie. I am a little trunkie or in better words excited to see you all. I really don’t want to leave this country. I feel like these people are my people, my family, and that this land is my land. Don't worry though, I am not that trunkie...I am still working hard and focused on my responsibilities and my purpose. I will give it my all till the day I take off my tag. Thank you all for everything you do. Thanks for your prayers, letters, etc. Have a great week.

P.S. My camera broke. The lens
is all messed up and nobody here can fix it. My cook is letting me borrow her
digital camera for these next couple weeks so that I can take pictures. It’s
not the best camera but it will do
P.P.S. My cook says Hi and that she is really excited to see you (I think they are a little nervous too, because everybody here thinks Gringos are filthy rich and that we think low of them when we see their houses). HAVE A GREAT WEEK
