HELLO FROM HONDO!!!!

Dear Family,
Everyone take a deep breath with me and calm down. You still have lots of time to think about this little trip. And Honduras isn’t as bad as you think. There are not gangsters walking around with guns everywhere looking for people to jump. Everything will go fine, no reason to get nervous. This is going to be a little baggie letter because I have to answer all your questions. I wrote Chris a letter to give him some answers to some of his questions. If you have any more questions call Brother Douglas Butts and he can call me.
Mom, don’t worry about your clothes. None of the women wear shorts. Only skirts, capris, or jeans. A lot of the women here in the church wear capris or jeans with a nice blouse and nice sandals or nice little shoes like you always wear. Nobody really wears tennis shoes here though like we do in the States (women). The guys here don’t wear shorts. Usually jeans. But bring some nice shorts, Dad and Chris, if you want. Just for the change meeting, bring a dress or a skirt, Mom. But after change meeting, before we go out to eat, I want you guys to change clothes to go out to eat with my cook, cuz I don’t want you all to be dressed up and them not. And, yes, bring extra space for souvenirs, cuz I haven’t bought anything.
Dad-Call Brother Butts and tell him what time your flight is getting in at so that on Tuesday I can send Chris to the airport to pick your guys up. The car won’t get broken into because we are not going to leave it somewhere where people can break into it. Bring a nice little digital camera so we can take nice pictures… if not, we will regret it.  Don’t worry… we won’t have problems with thieves. So you want to stay in Trujillo then. Trujillo is on the beach. And it’s about 1 hour from my area which was Tocoa Colon. If we can get back to San Pedro early Saturday we can do a little bit of shopping and at about 6:00 at night there is a cultural activity at the stake center. There will be Honduran dances and Honduran food. I would like to go there to say good bye to everyone and see the activity, and eat Honduran food that everyone in the stake will be making. I will get the address of the church building and what time you have to be at the transfer meeting next week.
Well just a little bit about this last week. On Saturday we baptized a man named Ramon Ortega. He is a 39 year old single man. We have been teaching him for about 3 weeks now. He is doing great. We are kind of struggling finding new people to teach. I have a lot of mixed feelings right now. I am really excited to see you all, but I don’t want to leave. It still hasn’t hit me yet that I will be leaving my country and my people next week. I think it won’t hit me until I am getting on the plane. I love this place and I am so excited for you guys to come down and see Honduras and meet my people.
Well, I will see you in about a week. Love you all, and just to let everyone know. You all have one last week left to write me! Thanks for everything. Love, Elder Lee
